I enjoyed your article on Big Bear Lake. Sounds like a great place to visit. But I think it will come as a surprise to people in Baker City, Oregon, that "Paint Your Wagon" was filmed at Big Bear Lake. Lots of people from that area of Eastern Oregon remember being extras in that movie, when it was filmed near Baker City in 1969. (I lived in La Grande, Oregon, at the time, just 45 miles away from where Joshua Logan was trying to make Lee Marvin into a singer.)
